37 weeks

I had a brief scare last week. I started having painful contractions and cramping and went in to labor & delivery for observation. I thought for sure this baby was trying to compete with her big sister and come earlier. Thankfully after a long night, they subsided.

I had my 37 week appointment today. Rather boring, actually. Still dilated to 3 cm and 70-80% effaced. I had Addison 3 days after my 37 week appointment so you just never know! I'm getting anxious to meet the new addition to our family. The ability to get up with ease, roll over in bed, and breathe comfortably are just added bonuses. :P I've been contracting and crampy for about a week now so at least things are moving along...

36 weeks (10/06/09)

My 36 week appointment was last Tuesday. I had an ultrasound to check baby's weight, which was estimated to be at 6 lbs, 10 oz. already! It also turned out that I was dilated to 3 cm. and 70-80% effaced already. That doesn't really mean a whole lot but it's nice to know things are moving along. We could have a baby any day or not for a few more weeks. Unfortunately we're on her schedule.

Overall things are going well. I'm getting increasingly tired and am having a harder time getting around but I can't complain too much.

Best Friends

Nina and Addison

Addison has a friend from daycare who just happens to live a half a block away from us. Last week Addison was invited over to Nina's house for dinner and to play with Nina and her sisters. It's been so fun getting to know Nina's family and to watch the girls play together. They are practically inseperable and talk about each other constantly when they are not together. Addison is usually greeted with a hug and kiss from Nina as soon as we get to daycare. Now if only Nina could teach Addison how to pee in the potty! :P

Only two years old and I swear this girl has a bigger social calendar than I do. :)
