Spaghetti Face

Addison has definately hit the toddler stage and her menu has become quite scarce. Aside from bock bock (chicken nuggets) and dino shaped jelly sandwiches, this girl LOVES spaghetti. She's still getting the hang of using a fork and spoon so I took off her outfit and let her have at it. I thought I'd get a couple shots of her cute little spaghetti face.
All done!

President's Day

So today is President's day. For who? For teachers and some other lucky people, and for my daycare, but not for me. I have to work. I suppose I could get a deal of a lifetime on something at the mall or on a new car but this whole work thing kind of gets in the way of that. I'm not really in the market for a new car anyway. Funny how every stupid holiday turns in to a one day super sale. Haven't they heard our economy sucks?

On the other hand, I really can't complain my President's day. Tristan is home today with the baby since my daycare decided it was important to honor our President. He and Addi showed up at work with a rose and a big 'ol Reece's heart. Little miss came running down the parking lot with a rose in her hand bobbing every which way and a big 'ol grin on her face. So happy to see Mommy. Reason #1,234,567 why my husband is the bestest. I sure wish I had a camera. :)

Happy Valentine's Day

Just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Valentine's! I thought I'd share the valendtine that Addison and I made for Daddy. We had a pretty good time but she was more concerned with her hands being dirty. I couldn't clean the paint off quick enough. Tristan gave me a nice card and some pretty red tulips. :) He got the Cabela's game for Wii. Do I know the way to a man's heart or what?

Nothing special planned for today. I think miss Addison is teething and is being a grumpy puss. Although I did manage to get this crazy shot of her (see her hernia?).

Happy Birthday Natalie!

Happy birthday Natalie. You are 28 years old today! You are one of the most amazing people I know. I’m so grateful that our parents brought us together, even though things between them did not work out. We’ve had some crazy times over the past 16 years...

Church dances. Ah memories. We got gussied up in our finest K-mart dresses every weekend to meet the man of our dreams, yet we left empty handed. At least we could bury our sorrows in a extra thick chocolate milkshake from Shari's. Although I did score a pretty hot football player.

Roomies. Although I didn't see a lot of you because of this boyfriend or that boyfriend, we still had a lot of good times. I'd like to take a little credit for your current obsession with cleanliness. We all know you weren't always like that. Chore chart ring a bell?

We were known, on more than one occasion, to bust out our old prom dresses and prance around the house. Thankfully, most of them still fit. Our weekends were usually planned on which night we were going to the Grizz. We got decked out in our best hoochie outfits and headed out for a night of fun and capped it off with a quick run through Jack-in-the-Box while Jericho Road blared in the background. We both new all the words and our friends looked at us like we were crazy. "Findin' my waaaaaaaay back to you. 'Cuz I can't live without ya Lord."

Speaking of Jericho Road. We did share a couple fun road trips. For some reason you always seemed to get pulled over. Never got a ticket though... I hated you for that. I ALWAYS get a ticket! We counted cows all the way to Utah and sang old songs at the top of our lungs. TLC was always a fave road trip CD. I'm still grateful you didn't make me pee on Anthony's lap.

I was so sad when you moved away. Thankfully, aside from seeing each other, our friendship hasn't changed much. I was by your side on your wedding day, as you were at mine We were fortunate enough to go through pregnancy together and now we get to share in the joys of motherhood. Haha! It's amazing to see how our lives are turning out. Thank you for being my friend, for keeping my secrets, and for always being there. I hope you have a great day. I love you, even if you are getting old and gray.

Happy 18th month birthday!

Ok so I'm a little belated. Since it's not a real birthday, I think I get a pass. :) I can't believe my baby girl is a year and a half already! Where has the time gone? It seems like only yesterday that we were bringing her home and I was freaking out over the littlest things. Now we have this little person in our house, walking around, having conversations with us. I can't wait to see all the things she has yet to discover and to see what happens next. We're about ready to welcome a new little one in the family. No, we're not pregnant (yet...wink wink), my sister in law Emily and brother in law Brad are anticipating the arrival of their baby girl in 9 weeks! http://bradandemilykelley.blogspot.com/ We're all very excited for "baby D" (my nickname for her until we know what her name is) to arrive and it has me reminicing.

Addison is only a month or so old here, judging by the post-baby belly I'm still rockin'. Look how tiny!

18 months later...

Addison picked up the phone the other night and said "Hi Nana. (Insert toddler babble here). Ok bye!"

It's never too cold to slide. :)

Addison offering me up some "dinner."

Happy 1 and 1/2 year birthday Addison. Sorry, there's no party but I hope you know how much Mommy and Daddy love you.

ABCs and Dr. Evil?

Addison loves her daddy. Tristan plays horsey with her, tickles her with his scruffy beard, throws her up in the air, and teaches her how to do stupid things like the Dr. Evil laugh. Aren't Dad's great?! Ok, so I admit... it's quite funny. Haha!

In his defense, he's also been teaching her the alphabet.
