Summertime!

Even though Summer officially began over a week ago, I don't think our weather got the memo. But finally, FINALLY some warm temperatures over the weekend! We should have been packing but the sun was calling. Tris and Addison had some Daddy/Daughter time on Saturday while I was busy with a friend's baby shower. They ventured up to the Uptown to check out a car show then headed over to my mom's to swim.

After getting a few chores done on Sunday, we decided to take Addison down to the park. Turns out they were having a renissance fair down there that weekend. Very interesting... but for $9 we decided to watch from the sidelines. There were belly dancers (some took the belly part too literally if ya know what I meant), people sword fighting, and everyone was in full renissance costume. After the show, lol, we headed over to the park to play for a bit then down to the river to throw rocks in the water.

We probably should have went home to pack but instead we packed up (haha) and headed to Mom and Carl's for swimming and a bbq. Much more fun! :P

Father's Day Weekend!

I'm a little behind on blogging... We had a fun and busy Father's Day weekend! Nana came over to play with Addison so Tris and I could get started on some packing . We were able to get most of the stuff stored down in the basement packed in to the trailer. After Addison's nap we we headed up to Sunnyside to spend time with Tristan's family. Tris and Mike did a little father son bonding while installing new front rotors on my Jeep and then everyone came over for a BBQ.

Addison made her daddy a card and promised him a new BBQ once we were all settled in the new house. We spent Sunday evening with my Dad and Dee at headed over to Red Lobster for dinner. Mmm mmm!

19 weeks!

It’s a girl! I think I am still in shock. I don’t know why I’m so surprised. Deep down I knew it was a girl. We both were hoping for a boy and the scan at 14 weeks fogged my brain a bit. Dr. Smith did say not to paint the room blue. Haha. We are blessed with yet another little girl and more importantly, she’s healthy! The ultrasound went really well. She was laying breech yesterday so we were able to get excellent shots of her heart. All four chambers were working properly and pumping away and her heart rate was in the 140’s. She is measuring perfectly for her gestational age and my due date is still set for November 3rd. She is currently in the 60th percentile for her weight at 10 oz. The markers for the quad screen were all negative and she has all ten fingers and toes. Addison knows she has a little sister on the way but still doesn’t really get it.

As for me, I’m feeling pretty good. My appetite has increased and the fatigue has pretty much eased up. I can feel her kicks more frequently and now that she is getting bigger they are much harder. I am trying to really soak up this pregnancy because it will most likely be my last. Hope to have a belly picture up here soon.

Not looking forward to packing and moving but at the same time I’m very excited. We hope to be in by July 4th. Life is good. Stressful but good!

"I go camping!"

For Memorial Day weekend we took Addison camping up at the usual spot in Ahtanum State Park. Once we picked up the camper from Mom & Carl it was all she talked about. "I go camping, I go camping!" She loved being in that camper and now when we're out driving around she'll shout "camper!" when she sees one.

This was the first year she could actually move around. Most of the time you'd find her attached to Papa's hip but she had a great time talking walks with Nana, singing German songs with Oma, and playing with her Uncle Brad and 2nd cousin Desiree. She even managed to spend a little time with Mom and Dad.

Addison did take a little fall and bumped her head. She was just fine after some hugs and kisses and thankfully she loves ice. It was no big deal for to sit back with a bag of ice on her noggin and get loves from Papa.

Things were definitely more low key this year but all in all we had a great time!
