Chuck E. Cheese's

Addison went to Chuck E. Cheese's yesterday for her first time. I have to tell you, as much as I loved this place as kid...I was a little apprehensive to take my own kid. Haha! Ok, so I'm a bit of a germaphobe. Well not so much that I'm a germaphobe but I know what lurks on door knobs and shopping carts. I can only imagine what's all over Chuck E. Cheese's. But hey, I'm alive so... On the plus side, a Monday night is the way to go. We almost had the place to ourselves!

My neice Hannah's 5th birthday is coming up so we had a pre-birthday party for her. Addison wasn't too keen on any rides that moved, but she loved going down the slide and playing with all the flashy games. I think she wore her Nana out. :P Hannah helped helped her warm up to Chuck E. and the gang and eventually she got close enough to watch a show. Overall, I think she had a fun time.

Enjoying her ice cream sandwich.

Mommy put ice cream on my nose!

Sunshine and piggy tails

What a busy weekend! Addison and I spent Saturday with nana while Tris caught up on homework. We did a little shopping and ate lunch at the Olive Garden. I even got some flowers planted. The weather was beautiful all weekend. I think it was in the 80's on Sunday. On Sunday we went over to Brad & Emily's to cook them dinner and steal some baby time. Addi was in a toddler mood and was hard to keep happy. I bet they can't wait for Braelyn to grow up! Haha! Newborns are boring but at least they are quiet and they sleep...a lot... I tried to trade but they wouldn't take me up on it. Come to think of it, I like getting more than 3 hours of sleep at a time. I should take advantage of that why I still can.

My mom mentioned how cute Addison would look in pig tails so I thought I'd give it a shot. They stayed in for the most part but her hair could be a tad longer. The back kept falling down. It's amazing how much older she looks in pig tails. Where'd my baby go?

Addison decided to put on her "gasses" on the way home from Brad and Emily's. Hmm, something doesn't look quite right...

There we go!

Happy Easter!

Grandpa Mike and Grandma Cathy came over Friday night to hang out with us. Cathy ended up staying the night so she could help us dye eggs in the morning. Addison is still a little young but I wanted some egg salad sandwiches. Mmm!!

Dyeing an egg with Mommy.

All done! See Tristan's multi-colored egg? Such patience...

We spent Easter in Sunnyside with Tristan's family. After nap we headed off to the Blue's for some Easter goodies. Dinner was delicious! We had ham, sweet & sour chicken, crash potatoes (http://thepioneerwoman.com/cooking/2008/06/crash-hot-potatoes/), green bean casserole, homemade rolls, salads, and fruit. Mmmm mmm! Of course there was plenty of dessert to go around too! Addison had a such a great time playing with everyone and looking for eggs that she passed out in the car on the way home. We definitely missed Uncle Brad, Aunt Emily, and Braelyn, but they are home now and getting settled. Hope everyone had a Happy Easter!

Heading to the Blue's for Easter dinner.

Searching for eggs.

Found one!

"There it is, I see it!"

Addison meets Braelyn

We took Addison to the hospital yesterday to meet her new baby cousin Braelyn. I was surprised at how well she did. She wanted to hold her right away and gently rubbed her head as she looked at her in awe.

Of course, she is a toddler so that moment was short lived...

I can't wait to see them play together. :)

Welcome to the world Braelyn...finally! Your mom and dad waited so patiently for you! We are all so excited to have you here and we love you so much already. I can't wait to see you grow and Addi is thrilled to have a new baby cousin.

Congrats Brad & Emily!! She's perfect!

M.I.A.

I have been MIA for awhile. Mostly because I've been exhausted and sick from roasting this baby. That's right, we're pregnant!!! Baby #2 is due to arrive on November 3rd. We were able to see the little heartbeat on ultrasound yesterday. I don't think it's really sunk in that we'll have two kids, but I know Addison will be a great big sister!

(Head on the left, feet on the right)

Speaking of Addison, she's at home with daddy watching Elmo and recovering from a stomach bug. Our exciting appointment was short lived when Addi puked shortly after we got home. Actually we headed out to grab some dinner and she puked in the parking lot. That was only the beginning. She had a total of 3 baths and puked on 8 outfits (5 of her own & 3 of daddy's), a shower curtain, a rug, the couch, and the carpet. Poor baby. She seems to be feeling better today. Tris was sick on Sunday (the second time in a month!) and I'm sure that's where she got it from. I guess I'm next...we shall see.

I can't believe she'll be 2 in a few months. Where does the time go? She's has quite the little personality and continues to surprise us every day. She's starting to combine words and make sentences. Aside from the tantrums, this has to be my favorite age. She loves to read her books, she'll go through each and every one of them if you let her. She tells Oscar to "mere" (come here) and to "GET DOWN!" (off the couch), she can sing Twinkle Twinkle, Wheels on the Bus, her ABC's, and Itsy Bitsy Spider. It's a bit hard to understand but so cute!! She had her 3 week post-op check up the other day and she's healing up nicely. I'll have to put some pictures up.

We have been busy, busy, busy! Tristan is just about done with Fall quarter. It's been another tough semester for him. I don't know how he works all day and stays up all night doing homework. He even manages to squeeze in some family time. On top of all that, he had an interview on Monday for a new job. More $$! Keep your fingers crossed. Our house is currently for sale so we've been busy fixing little things here and there and keeping it clean to show it. We hope to start looking at houses real soon.

Our niece is due to arrive tomorrow. My sister in law Emily is sheduled to be induced tomorrow afternoon. We have been waiting for this little girl for awhile now and we're sure looking forward to meeting her!
